Free plants offered over the weekend – Kitsap Sun

BREMERTON — People who would like to acquire native plants at no cost are invited to Ueland Tree Farm, west of Kitsap Lake, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Last year, more than 130 vehicles came to the tree farm, according to Mark Mauren, who organized the event. Plants include Douglas fir, western white pine, western hemlock, western red cedar, rhododendron, salal, huckleberry, Oregon grape and sword fern. Come prepared to dig out and remove the plants.
